John Sterling Harris
John S. Harris draws his poetry from a varied professional career that includes such prosaic professions as used car salesman and army first sergeant. He is better known, however, as a sensitive teacher of American literature and technical writing at Brigham Young University. His publications include a textbook, Writing for the Social Sciences, and two books of Western poetry Barbed Wire and Second Crop. Harris has also published a number of articles and poems in BYU Studies, The Carpenter, Dialogue, and in several anthologies.
