"Steve Adams served a Spanish-speaking mission to Spokane, Washington. Upon his return, he worked as a counselor at Especially for Youth for four years. He received a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Utah, a master's degree in youth leadership from Brigham Young University and a Ph.D in sociology also from BYU. While completing his Ph.D., he taught in the religion department at BYU for three years. Steve is the institute director at Wichita State University. He and his wife are the parents of three children. He loves to fish, camp, hike, and spend time with his family." (from 2002 EFY Publication)
