| Marilyn Brown
Marilyn McMeen Miller Brown has published three poetry books, fourteen novels, a history of Provo, and two musical plays. As well as earning three university degrees (two from Brigham Young University and one from the University of Utah), Marilyn has won several awards, including the thousand-dollar first prize from the Utah Arts Council and the first Mayhew Award at BYU. She also won the first novel award of the Association for Mormon Letters, an organization for which she has also served as president (2000). As well as working with her husband, Bill, as co-founder of the Villa Playhouse in her hometown of Springville, Utah, she raised one child of her own and five step-children and now enjoys fourteen grandchildren.
