[From the Foreword]
"Presented in this volume are most of the papers given at the various symposia sponsored by the Association for Mormon Letters during 1978-79. In many respects, this is a companion volume to the issue of Dialogue (11.2) devoted to the papers given during 1977. The First five papers were read at the annual fall symposium in Salt Lake City; the next two--"Element and Glory" and "The Psalm of Nephi"--were given at the symposium on Mormon literature held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Rocky Mortmain Modern Language Association in Phoenix, Arizona; the last four were presented at the spring symposium in Charlottesville, Virginia...."
